Just another day on the Reef! While conducting weekly Eye on the Reef surveys, marine biologists Dr Glen and Fern had some unexpected company as a pod of Spinner Dolphins cruised on by at Quicksilver’s Agincourt Reef pontoon! You never know what wonders you’ll encounter out here. Spinner dolphins are the most common species encountered on the Reef and are named after the aerial tricks they perform when leaping out of the water. These small dolphins will even ride the pressure wave off the bow of slow moving vessels.
In this episode of Pirate Rodney’s Cuisines, I show how to fillet small fish step-by-step using croaker that we just scaled in the previous video. Many people struggle with small fish because the bones are tight and it’s easy to waste good meat. In this quick tutorial, I demonstrate the simple knife cuts that make filleting small fish easier and cleaner.
