Our new cruising yacht Viator Explorer 42 DS has 2x10KW electric motors as propulsion. Those motors can be used as hydrogenerators when sailing. We are testing this feature in this short video. The maximum output is about 21A, which equals about 1KW. But it is still very volatile, so we have to optimize the regeneration process. #katknots The Clove Hitch versus the 🥨 Ground-Line Hitch. Which is your favourite? Both are great for tying fenders to guardrails, the Ground-line is a little more secure, but there's not much in it. 🔸 For both, wind the rope around the rail and cross over diagonally. There is a slight difference where you tuck the working end between the hitches. 🔸 Both knots are easy when you get the hang of them.
