Our new cruising yacht Viator Explorer 42 DS has 2x10KW electric motors as propulsion. Those motors can be used as hydrogenerators when sailing. We are testing this feature in this short video. The maximum output is about 21A, which equals about 1KW. But it is still very volatile, so we have to optimize the regeneration process. While anchored out in my sailboat for months at a time I sustain myself through spearfishing. And no fish is more prized to me than the Permit. A super powerful fish with a crazy fight on it!
