While sailing though Vanuatu, we came across this massive 50m superyacht high and dry up on the reef. She had been shipwrecked during Cyclone Pam in 2015, and ever since then, it has been a struggle between owners, the government, and the local village as to who owns her, and what to do about it. The story was so intriguing that we filmed a documentary style video on the mystery surrounding the Blue Gold, and find out that in a week they were actually going to try drag her off the reef. Filming "Flying Manta" with @FraseryachtsSuperyachtSales was a wonderful experience, but it was also educational. It is easy to have a romantic notion of landing on a yacht with a helicopter, but the reality is that a lot of work goes in to making this happen. When we got back to the office we chatted about the experience...I think Slava got the best part of the deal, since he accompanied the pilot on the flight!
