While sailing though Vanuatu, we came across this massive 50m superyacht high and dry up on the reef. She had been shipwrecked during Cyclone Pam in 2015, and ever since then, it has been a struggle between owners, the government, and the local village as to who owns her, and what to do about it. The story was so intriguing that we filmed a documentary style video on the mystery surrounding the Blue Gold, and find out that in a week they were actually going to try drag her off the reef. This would be their 4th attempt. Head over to my YouTube channel Sailing Parlay Revival to see the full video of this once multimillion dollar now stranded on a remote island! SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!! This time we sail to the hot springs of Loutra on the island of Euboea. The spa was already popular in ancient times. The water is really hot! You can only enjoy it early in the morning, as it's currently 41 degrees in the shade during the day - sweaty! And on we go towards the northern Sporades. North of Euboea we have to cross against the wind. Yes, even our cat can cross! A large school of dolphins accompanied us and swam every turn!!! We experienced this for the first time - crazy!
