This week I visited Antalya, where the ARES shipyard held the launching ceremony for their magnificent 62 meter cruising ketch "SIMENA". The team travelled to Turkey a couple of weeks ago to film Mengi Yay’s 42 meter steel hulled sailing yacht “LEGATO”. I usually associate motor yachts with this shipyard, but they made a great job of this sailing vessel as Katia Damborsky found out when she spoke to the Fraser Yachts brokers representing her: David LeGrande and Alain Auvere.

Yarik and I have just reviewed the final draft of a video that we both feel immensely proud of. We have been documenting the construction the 62 meter super sailing yacht “SIMENA” for the last few months, and the latest video showcases the launch of the vessel and explains what will happen next. The camera work and editing is superb, it really does justice to the beauty and size of the yacht. I cant wait to publish it on the @yachtbuilders YouTube channel next Sunday.
