WHAT TO EXPECT ON A PROJECT SAILBOAT Haul Out - Sailing Reverie's Tips for a Successful Project

In this video, I'm going to give you tips on what to expect on a Project Sailboat Haul Out. This is a required step in many restoration projects, and it can be a lot of work, but with the right preparation, you can make it a successful experience. I'll cover everything you need to know about project boat hauling out, from the basics of what to expect to the tips and tricks that will help make the process go more smoothly. It is footage I found that I wanted to share so you could see what 6 years on the water will do to your boat. We do a walkthrough of the hull before and after cleaning and you can see the lack of barrier coat, the keel smile, the growth and the gelcoat blistering that ensued. The good news is the blisters are not structural. The boat is not delaminating. It is surface blisteds from the gelcoat not been protected plus whatever chemistry Pearson used back in 1985 which cause the gelcoat not to adhere properly. Hope you enjoy it.
