We love getting to visit local churches on Sundays even if the service is in Tahitian!

We love getting to visit local churches on Sundays wherever we are. Today was really special. Despite a 2 mile walk each way, it was well worth the effort. It's fascinating to see the attire - everyone today was dressed to the nines and the ladies looked amazing in their hand woven straw hats; some of the men even wore ties! We were on time, but the service started 15 minutes late (we were told by a sweet, young man) because the Pastor was late! He arrived in a full, white suit and welcomed us, in Tahitian, from the pulpit; it was very sweet! The people were so kind and welcoming and the music was divine. But for a few phrases the Pastor spoke in English, we understood nothing of the Tahitian language! No practicing our French today!!
