We Hand Built Our Latest Yacht Upgrade!

This project has been a long time coming! In this episode, we finally finish and install the custom carbon fiber table for the roof of our sailing catamaran, starting from a bare foam core and ending with a professional level finish.... we hope! 😅 A full-blown composite build, we cut and shape the foam core, epoxy everything together, fiberglass the entire structure, then move on to the stages of filling, fairing, sanding, and sanding again. Once we were happy with the shape, it was time for gel coat, followed by more finishing work to get it looking just right. To take it from “good DIY” to something that looks pretty pro,, Nino steps in to work his magic and bring the final finish together. The result is a table that not only looks the part but is strong, lightweight, and perfectly suited to life on a boat.
