We're reaching a critical point in the Vendée Globe. With the fleet now spread out across the South Atlantic Ocean, Charlie Dalin could ride the wave of the low pressure system towards the Ice Boundary south of the Cape of Good Hope. If his pursuers can't follow the same option, and fall off the wave, he has the potential to open up a massive lead over the pack.
