Turning East | Sailing Home from Ireland

Summer is drawing to a close, and after an incredible few weeks exploring UK and Irish shores, it’s time to start turning Safar east towards home in preparation for returning to work . In this episode, I leave Dingle and sail south for Baltimore, before continuing along the Irish coast to beautiful Kinsale. From there, there’s just one thing left to do — point the bow east and make the crossing back across the Celtic Sea to Milford Haven. With predominantly downwind sailing and gusts exceeding 30 knots along the way, Safar makes quick progress as the Irish coastline slowly disappears astern.
