Team Ireland Vendee Globe - Meet Andrew 'Hammy' Baker

Strangford Lough solo sailor Andrew ‘Hammy’ Baker has been announced as the newest team member of Enda O’Coineen’s campaign to be the first Irish person to compete in the Vendee Globe race, the non stop, unassisted, race around the world, the Everest of sailing challenges. Hammy is part of the team that will prepare the boat, optimise performance, and work with Skipper O’Coineen ahead of the Vendee Globe Race start in November. Team Ireland Vendée Globe Challenge is a sailing team that will see the first ever Irish sportsperson compete in sailing's most difficult race, the Vendée Globe.
