Our sail takes us past Suriname, Guyana, the coast of Venezuela and the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. A stretch of water presently involved in some intense American military activity. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid the Venezuela coastline, however, to reduce risk we stay well offshore, away from coastal fishing boats and geopolitics. But even far from land, the ocean has ways of throwing curveballs. We witness a strange interaction between a freighter and an unidentified boat. Are they up to no good? We don't know. Is their behaviour suspicious? Absolutely.
