While visiting the northern islands of Indonesia I was struck by the Singapore skyline at sunset, especially with the contrast of the humble fishing village in the foreground. When shooting this video I imagined a little child standing on shore in this fishing village, staring across the sea at the glittering Singapore skyline with it's promise of wealth and a better life so tantalisingly close, but still a world away.
