As the foilers and daggerboard boats draw further apart and the front of the fleet stretches 3,000miles ahead of the back, there is still one thing that all the skippers are thinking of, how to set up for the deep depressions that are approaching from behind. Be it those that are already in the Southern Ocean, or those that are yet to pass the longitude of the Cape of Good Hope, deciding how and where to place themselves for the arrival of the big winds and waves has been the key strategy for many this week.
