After a few weeks of waiting, we finally found a good weather window to sail to Madeira. In preparation we went out for a shake out sail and to clean the hull however with strong winds approaching, getting back to the dock and typing up was a lot more challenging that we anticipated! The next day and with the weather behind us, we decided to head off. We donned our new life jackets and outlined some rules of when we'd like to wear the vests that we thing are pretty reasonable! And then finally, we untied the lines for the last time and left Ponta Delgada for what is likely to be a 4-5 day passage. Want more?
