The sail around the world continues with a 46 nautical mile passage from English Harbour, Antigua to Deshaies, Guadeloupe. It's a comfortable sail and we make good speed, but we experience some trouble with the main sail and are reminded that I'm the world's worst fisherman. The one that got away! I know so little about Guadeloupe! I'm excited to explore a place in which I have zero expectations or pre conceived notions. See you all tomorrow for a wild one! Here's what I found on google about Deshaies: Framed by green hills, charmingly sleepy Deshaies has just the right balance of traditional fishing village and good eating and drinking options to keep visitors coming here year-round. It may not have a beach of its own, but a short drive away is arguably the best stretch of grains on Guadeloupe for swimming and sunbathing: Grande Anse. Thanks to its sheltered bay, the village is a popular stop with yachties and sailors, and has a slightly cosmopolitan air despite its diminutive size. (Having explored some of the town today, this couldn't be more accurate) SUPPORT HERE: patreon.com/ChasingGrace This is the best way to help me out with the journey!
