Small boat sailing from the Mediterranean to the Canaries. Comfortina 32 Thule

Sailing a small vessel from the Mediterranean to the Canary Islands, back in 2002. The sailing yacht Thule is a Comfortina 32, made in Sweden. The boat is made for coastal cruising and racing. It was never meant for ocean passages, but we did not understand that at that time. I still remember my sailmaker said: "Nobody crosses an ocean with a Comfortina!" Well, at that time he was right. Nobody had ever crossed an ocean with a Comfortina, yet. We were so prepared and had so much faith in the boat and ourself (We were young...) so we made it a god and off we went. We prepared her as good as we could and headed for the big adventure. In this video you will see three minutes of the sailing from the Mediterranean, to Gibraltar and to the Canary Islands. This was no problem at all, so in the next video you will se us sailing cross the Atlantic, probably for the first time ever in a Comfortina. What did we learn? Go small, go simple and go now.
