We were able to test it in Palma de Mallorca with powerful 2 x 250 kW engines - the maximum speed reached is close to 13 knots. This new model is taking over the torch from the 64, the first electric catamaran to have crossed the Atlantic. The recently launched hull #1 was able to validate its specifications, i.e. sailing without burning any fuel, thereby not emitting any pollutants, at up to 4/5 knots. The Silent 60, like all the other models from the brand, is of course powered by twin electric motors. The manufacturer offers three formulas - 2 x 30 kW, 2 x 250 kW, and 2 x 220 HP coupled with two small 14 kW electric motors. Extended forward at the front of the coachroof by a cap, and aft by a large bimini, the superstructures are designed to support a maximum surface area of solar panels (450 sq ft/42 m², compared with 325/30 for the Silent 55). A version known as the 62-3 Deck sees the flybridge transformed into a real upper deck.
