Schionning Wilderness 1480 'Simply Sensational'

** NOW SOLD ** ‘Simply Sensational’ is a Schionning Wilderness 1480. Launched in 2003, Simply Sensational is a four-cabin, long range, cruising cat from the design table of Jeff Schionning, and was professionally built by shipwright Dave Higgins in Murwillumbah whose considered approach to this build included adding additional fibreglass to high stress areas to improve her strength, durability and safety. The Wilderness 1480 was specifically designed to be an easy and forgiving boat to handle with a conservative rig set up and systems that are easy to operate and maintain – ideal for the shorthanded adventurers. These boats are strong, easily driven and responsive and incredibly comfortable when chewing up long distances. Simply Sensational boasts 3 double cabins, a single berth, and a very practical work room. She has an excellent cruising fit out which includes, 240v generator, 240v inverter, Dometic air conditioning, watermaker, and comes with a 3.4m inflatable dinghy and 15hp outboard. She has an extensive electronics fit out including Raymarine GPS plotter with Navionics Gold chart pack for Australia and the Mediterranean, wind, speed and depth displays as well as a Coursemaster Auto Pilot and Raymarine Radar. Her standing rigging which is predominantly Dyneema was new in 2017. She runs a Furlboom in boom furling system for a fully battened mainsail and both her Genoa and Screecher were new in 2020.
