Winning skipper of the Whitbread Round the world race 1985-86, Lionel Péan has still got it. Watch this high-speed mark rounding and thundering bear away around a mark at the north end of the island of St Maarten. Barely raising his voice all day, he commanded a crew of 15 and six guests aboard the Volvo Open 70, formerly Puma Il Mostro, around two race courses, having broken the record for rounding the island of St Maarten the day before.
