SAILING VANUA BALAVU, Ship Sound, Lau Group, Fiji

Sailing through the Lau Group here in Fiji has been a delightful experience. Until a few years ago, cruisers could not visit here without special permission. The place is still incredibly remote, the people still very much authentic although that is changing with tourism. This video captures an amazing spot on the island of Vanua Balavu in the 'Bay Of Islands' and an anchorage with majestic stone outcrops, colours that dazzle the mind and some awesome passages and pools carved into the surrounding mountains ... makes for some awesome exploring by dinghy or kayak.
