First stop, provisioning in the quaint and hospitable island of Vieques before cruising to the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge- and most notably the uninhabited island of Culebrita. Here one will find more hermit crabs, goats, and migratory birds than human civilization and the place is only accessible by private boat. There are free DPNR moorings in the beautiful bay where you can snorkel with the resident remoras or take a bath in the natural stone jacuzzis on the opposite end. Hiking to the top of the abandoned lighthouse, one of the oldest in the Caribbean, is a must see and a great place to plan a picnic! Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoyed this latest episode.
