Sailing the Caribbean, Exploring the Jungle – From Martinique to Dominica

In this video, we take you along on our sailing trip aboard our yacht “Cocon” from Martinique to Dominica. After visiting various places in Martinique, we set off for the neighboring island of Dominica. The crossing through the otherwise often rough strait between the two islands is pleasantly calm and offers us ideal conditions for a relaxing day of sailing. Once we arrive in Dominica, we explore one of the most unspoiled islands in the Lesser Antilles. In addition to the impressive natural scenery, it’s above all the exceptionally friendly and open-hearted locals who make this island especially dear to our hearts. Our guide, KELVIN, joins us on this journey and proves to be the perfect companion for getting to know the country and its people. We take a boat ride on the Indian River, explore the island on a guided tour, and then visit a chocolate factory where we learn more about how chocolate is made. To ring in the New Year, we celebrate a New Year’s Eve party on the beach together with our friends from SV Globi, many other long-distance sailors, and the islanders. It’s a wonderful way to wrap up our time in Dominica, marked by encounters, Caribbean vibes, and shared experiences. 🌴 Enjoy watching!
