Despite the conditions not being as powerful as was forecast, The Australia team seemed to revel in the snakes and ladders opportunities that gusty and shifty southerly brought on. Tom Slingsby explains that the game plan which the team evolved in the hour before the first race start, stood them in good stead, even when they found themselves in the pack.
