Sailboat life in Andamans | S03E25
In this week's episode aboard SV Reeva, we spend a few incredible days anchored between Peel Island and John Lawrence Island, seeking shelter from unfavorable weather north of Havelock. This spot is known for its natural beauty-and crocodiles! We spotted two crocs, making it clear that the Andaman crocodile scare is very real-so, no more swimming here! As we entered Haddo Anchorage, a surprise squall greeted us. But we made the most of the downpour, giving Reeva and ourselves a much-needed freshwater rinse to wash off all the salt. It was time for Arnav's final engine routine before signing off. We topped up the oil on our Yanmar 55hp engine, which had clocked just 86 hours in 2.5 months-a pretty efficient run for Reeva! Back in Port Blair, we celebrated Holi, caught up with friends, and were deeply touched to meet several followers of The Reeva Project-what a joy to connect in person! A highlight of the week was hosting 14 young Sea Cadets from the Sea Cadet Corps who sailed over in their Lasers and Optimists. Their enthusiasm and energy were absolutely infectious, making it a truly memorable morning. We also welcome Kaeya back onboard-super excited to sail together again!
