We narrowly escape crashing our boat on the rocks. In this episode of sailboat living with SailAway - things get dicey. It's not always bikinis and sundowners. It all starts simple as we continue our sail down the ICW from Hilton Head toward Savannah, with every intention of stopping there for a few days, then continuing with 12 - 14 hours of sailing offshore in the Atlantic down the coast to Jacksonville. But when all the marinas are booked, we decide to go ahead and make the jump offshore. But things take a somewhat dangerous turn as the winds and seas build in a bad direction, making for a rough night and a very tense approach to Jacksonville.
