The Riviera 4400 was their choice for a quality build with ample space and a comfortable size to navigate. The Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht was one of the first designs with the Volvo Penta IPS system, a revolutionary forward-facing pod drive with joystick docking control. This system allows for almost effortless docking and total control in tight spaces. Thanks to this system, there is no need for a bow thruster, further simplifying control of the Riviera. With the engines pressed further aft, thanks to the pod system a large second cabin with two berths, a double and a single, was added to greatly increase the living area in a yacht of this size. Two full heads, one ensuite to the master stateroom forward, and the other as a day head and the second cabin. The saloon is all single level with a twin-seat helm forward on the starboard side and an L-shaped dinette and lounge opposite the aft galley on the starboard side. An electrically operated sunroof flooded the space with additional light and air. The cockpit features a lounge across the transom with a teak dining table. A deep locker for storing docking equipment and water toys is on the teak transom.
