The Famous Project CIC's voyage around the world is expected conclude, Monday, between 1 and 4 p m local French time, when the Maxi Trimaran Idec Sport crosses the finish line in Ushant. Shortly after, it will take approximately four hours for the crew members, including Alexia Barrier (France), Dee Caffari (United Kingdom), Annemieke Bes (Netherlands), Rebecca Gmür Hornell (Switzerland and New Zealand), Deborah Blair (United States), Molly LaPointe (United States and Italy), Támara Echegoyen (Spain), and Stacey Jackson (Australia), to enter the harbour of Brest and dock at Quai Malbert. Before reaching this significant milestone, the crew must navigate challenging waters on they way across the Bay of Biscay aboard a the trimaran that has been impacted by the loss of its mainsail. Over the past 24 hours, the all female crew The Famous Project CIC have made steady progress toward France and Brittany, maintaining an average speed of nearly 16 knots by alternating between the staysail (J3) and jib (J2) according to the wind conditions.
