Ridin', Campin' & Pickin' Up Trash in Painted Gorge. Ep34.

281 Visninger· 29/12/20

In this episode Barrett and I escape to Painted Gorge. This is really a fun place to ride and camp. And, there are plenty of fun spots to pull away and camp to escape the everyday life. Painted Gorge is pretty easy to find, and access is easy from the Ocotillo, CA exit. Just follow the frontage road to the north of the 8 and then head east. You will soon get to Painted Gorge Road, where you will turn North. The land opens up past the small town. As you will see, some areas (the mountain trail) is closed January 1 - June 30, for the bighorn sheep lambing season. But, there are still plenty of other areas and hills to ride if you go out during this time of year. You just won't have access to the high trails. PLEASE, if you go out here, please leave room and bring a few extra trash bags to haul out some of the trash which has sadly been left behind. This place is rad, but soon to be destroyed by people's laziness and disrespect, unfortunately.
