Replacing Cloudy Dodger Windows for Under $20

Replacing cloudy, yellowed boat windows doesn't require a trip to an expensive marine canvas shop or hours of work with a seam ripper. In this video, I demonstrate a simple workaround to replace your soft dodger or bimini side enclosure windows. Our cost for replacing the three dodger windows with 30 gauge clear marine vinyl was $19 including shipping. We already had the basting tape and thread in stock from other projects. The method shown here is sewing the new clear vinyl directly over the old window before cutting anything out. The old window acts as a stabilizer, keeping the dodger canvas from distorting out of alignment, ensuring it still fits your stainless steel frame perfectly when you're done. If you don't own a heavy-duty sewing machine, you can still use this method.
