Working on Osprey in Cherbourg, March 7th 2026. I am making new backstay lashings to replace the dynnema loops of unknown make and vintage. I have used this system on all thebdull running backstay systems I have ever run on Whitbread 60's, Volvo 60's and IMOCA 60. It's a specific lashing type, designed to be very strong (10 ton working load), easily visually inspected, adjustable and visually pleasing. Tonight we finish the 4 x 8mm dyneema lengths, with an eye-splice, ahead of installation Working on Osprey in Cherbourg, March 7th 2026.
