Oyster Palma Regatta 2026 Wrap Up | Oyster Yachts

What a way to celebrate Oyster's 50th Regatta. We returned to Port Adriano this September for a packed schedule of sailing and socialising with the Oyster Family. Good wind, great weather, a fantastic fleet and even better socialising brought high spirits to the Oyster Palma Regatta 2026. B&G Race Day 1 had a slow start and light winds in the morning, but the wind was worth the wait. Out in Palma Bay, the thermal breeze built late in the afternoon, and the fleet enjoyed 8-11 kts. Both classes raced tactically around the course, with Oyster 565 Annie III nailing their first over-the-line position in Class 2, and 825 Enso taking the line in Class 1. On Lewmar Race Day 2 we saw Race 1 of the Oyster Cup, and it did not disappoint – a full fleet pursuit race. Oyster 56 Olanta were first out of the blocks, and 825 Enso were the final boat to start over 31 minutes later, based on their race rating and handicap. Each boat took its own course around the marks, and as they came together on the finish line, each boat finished within 2 minutes of each other. An incredibly tight, tactical finish saw a full array of kites hoisted, but 625 Mellivora held off the competition at the finish line. Pantaenius Race Day 3 proves that fancy dress makes your boat sail faster! From pirates to pensioners, the fleet took part in two windward-leeward races. An exciting mix of tactical racing, with decision-making being key to winning - Oyster 595 Maia had an incredible day in Class 1, with Maia taking two 1st places, and in Class 2, Oyster 565 Suzushii took a convincing win in Race 2, but 56 Olanta pipped them to the line in Race 1. Dolphin Sails Race Day 4 saw the conclusion of the series and the Oyster Cup - with 56 Olanta first out of the blocks, she held off the competition until the very final minutes of the race. In the closing moments, it was 595 Maia who took the top spot after an intensely close battle at the finish line.
