Our carbon fibre longeron. This beauty has allowed us to change the way we sail our performance catamaran. Join Shayne for a guided tour through the features of our longeron, front beams and bow sprit. We now have a bow pole to fly our fractional and masthead spinnakers from the centre of the boat. We have a very stiff, structural front beam without the need for whisker stays or any of the associated paraphernalia. We have a forestay attachment point which is super strong. And perhaps the biggest difference is the addition of the attachment point for the inner forestay which allows us to fly a storm sail or trinket.
