Our New Transport: Low Footprint Sailing Episode 3

We reveal what has been taking our time over the last couple of weeks. Can we fit travelling to and from the boat with our Sustainable Sailing goals? We are refitting a 44 year old Rival 38 for a Sustainable Sailing retirement in a few years. Two years ago, when we bought Vida she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings. We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all electric (motor, cooking etc). Now that the inside is dry (thanks to new windows, new hatches and leak chasing) we are fitting her out for live-aboard world cruising.
