New Volcano Eruption Threatens My Sailing (single handed sailing)

Well, this was unexpected. Strings and patches of pumice from the eruption in the Ogasawara Islands ( where a new island has been forming since August) have reached Amami Oshima and clogging up some of the harbors. I feel bad for the fisherman whose livelihood depends on leaving port. Even a coast guard vessel was disabled when pumice particles were sucked into the engine. But I finally was able to find a `hole` in the weather and make my way from Miyazaki Marian to Aburatsu Fishing port where I was asked to tie up alongside a derelict vessel. Not sure what is coming next! Living with uncertainty is the only certainty.
