► Presented at Nice Boating Tomorrow by Victor Nave for E-Nav Systems, the M10 electric outboard was developed by Momentum, a young brand based in Singapore. ► With its 10 kW output, equivalent to a combustion engine of around 20 hp, the M10 is clearly aimed at tender use. In this segment, expectations are well defined: ease of use, range and reliability. The first striking point is the installation. ► The system is offered as a package including the motor and its lithium battery (M6 model), connected by a single cable. Installation requires no specific tools, following a plug-and-play approach. “The idea is to keep it as simple as a conventional petrol outboard,” explains Victor Nave. ► Under way, the M10 covers the usual tender requirements: reaching the harbour, handling trips around the anchorage or carrying out everyday transfers. At moderate speed, the claimed range is impressive, reaching up to 17 to 18 hours at 5 knots. The motor is also designed for more dynamic use over shorter periods, with speeds in the region of 15 to 20 knots.
