We pull out of Liberty Marina, MD and make our way as far South as we can get! We get a great first test run on the boat with our motor going out on the first day and then 50 knot gusts of wind causing us to accidentally gybe the mainsail the second day! On Solomon's Island we cruise around land with the courtesy bikes, meet new friends, and dreamt at the docks in peace knowing we were safe from crab pots- even if it was only for a short while! Following a recommendation of a friend about a cheap rate on a quiet place to get the boat hauled out, we finally stop in Reedsville, Virginia! An unincorporated little town where there are more crab pots than people and lots of beautiful birds! NEXT UP: Painting MoonShadow, Chris turns 31, and some surprise visitors while we live the next week on our landlocked boat!
