Leaky Portlights & Chainplate Bulkheads #14

my leaky portlights & chainplate bulkheads consist of rotten plywood. the cause; leaky portlights & chailplates . I am prepping for the chainplate bulkheads as well as the marinr plywood in the cabin top sides. I have talked about my plans to move the chainplates outboard, off the deck completely and onto the hull they will attech to the bulkheads thrught the side of the hull rather than the deck. This should eliminate the leaky chainplate problem in the future. Also have Plan to minimize the probability for leaky portlights in the futurel, taking care of these two problems at once should protect the chainplate bulkheads from future harm. my hope is that the leaky portlights and chainplate bulkheads problems will be a thing of the past. I will need to do the same on the port sid also hopfuly before I splash in the spring!
