Last Stop in Croatia & the Wind Goes Crazy!

We set off from Pu?i??a to Vela Luka on a 32 nautical mile journey-our last stop in Croatia before the big night crossing to Italy. What should have been a calm preparation day turned into a test of nerves and equipment. Near a quiet bay, the wind suddenly picked up-blowing 30 knots and gusting to 40. I had to use Dyneema line to reinforce the solar panel mounts and protect the system that powers our entire boat. It was rough, loud, and totally unexpected.
