It's chock full of sea life - Fish jumping everywhere, tons of birds, and the most magical visit from a pod of dolphins who are taking advantage of the abundance of fish surrounding Calico Skies. The Mom, Dad & Baby dolphins wake us up from a peaceful sleep on the hook with their loud and deep breaths. A rare and memorable experience and one of the many reasons we love anchor life dearly. After a brief 10 mile sail up Mexico's coast, we head into the town of Chamela to explore and to our delight find that it's not touristy, and rather a small chill town with excellent, cheap food. It's everything we love about Mexico's coast and enjoy taking in the sights as we walk around. Old cars, chickens, goats and touches of color while a gentle breeze blows in from the ocean. A perfect evening shared with our friends Brooke & Gary of s/v OneLife. The next day we set off to make another hop up the coast, this time an overnight 100 mile passage. Our friends on sv Onelife are with us and when two boats are headed in the same direction, it's a race!
