One of the most commonly asked questions we get is "what are your kids doing for school"? The short answer is they're not! In this episode, we show you exactly what we do to educate our kids and tell you how and why we enjoy the unschooling life. The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born. On this trip we decided to buy "Family Circus", planned to sail her to New Zealand and started an adventure that has changed our lives.
