GC32 World Championship 2018 - Day 2 - Team Tilt soars into the lead

Lake Garda lived up to Garda Trentino’s tourist brochure today with sun, 15-18 knot southerly Ora winds enabling the flying catamarans to hit 30+ knots on day two of the GC32 World Championship. After completing today’s full five race schedule, the 13 crews returned ashore exhausted but exhilarated, with one point separating the podium. Star performer was Sebastien Schneiter’s Team Tilt. The 11 points they scored today compares with the 19 points of their nearest rival. 11th overall this morning, Team Tilt now leads, albeit on countback from Oman Air. The Riva del Garda event is the first official GC32 World Championship, featuring the combined foiling catamaran fleets of the GC32 Racing Tour and Extreme Sailing Series. www.gc32worlds.com
