We spend the day diving and snorkeling in untouched reefs, while Gaurav takes on freediving lessons with Aaron from SV Moyana. What started as a chance meeting has now turned into family at sea, making this journey even more special. But sailing in Indonesia isn’t easy. While navigating from Moonrock Bay to Terampa, we face a sudden mainsail issue when the clew pin breaks mid-sail. Out here, in remote waters, there’s no quick fix—you rely on your skills and teamwork. Navigating shallow reefs in Indonesia is one of the biggest challenges for sailors. With outdated charts and unpredictable depths, we often sail using Google Maps and visual navigation—with Vaidehi guiding from the bow to safely pass through reef-filled waters. Back in Terampa, the reality of boat life kicks in—boat repairs, daily chores, and managing essentials. With no washing machine onboard, we hand over a month’s laundry to a local service, adapting to life in remote island communities.
