Food Action Bali

FoodAction Bali is a team of people, aligned and engaged on simple common values : solidarity, sharing and durability. Also, all our volunteers are initiated to culture and permaculture. We started a movement to promote growing food in a collaborative way in lands owned by Balinese. Some of these, despite the availability of good soil, are kept unproductive. Our mission is to give the local community the necessary knowledge and resources to make the lands productive again. Over all, giving them a new vision of farming and growth values of their grounds. GROWFUNDING MODEL Our resources are financed through a growfunding model : A micro financing variation of crowdfunding compound by a net of sponsors and volunteers who believe in the power of the land to produce food, to be shared in the context of an emergency. Also, for creating new business opportunities in the future that benefis the economical autonomy of Bali: harvest, pilot education center, heritage protection, agro tourism etc. WHY GROW The global crisis we are going through caused by Covid-19 lockdown is our opportunity to motivate the Balinese society to come back to their roots : Agriculture. In this sense, growing our food following Permaculture (organic and sustainable agriculture) gives the best quality and quantity production to feed ourselves while respectfully using the resources of Mother Earth, being part of it without harming the life cycle nor the ecosystem. Populating the lands by bio farming is now in our hands to fulfill our subsistence, promote a sustainable lifestyle in Bali and collaborate with expanding the economic bases of the island.
