Five Nights on a Fishing Platform | Photo Documentary đˇ | Ep 354 [4K]
We see these fishing platforms everywhere in this part of the world, but didn't know much about them until Jamie began this photo documentary. They drag their concrete anchors with ease, so we had learned to be wary of them in anchorages. It was a while before we learnt what they are called (you may have heard us referring to them as âspider boatsâ in previous videos). This platform of complicated nets and outriggers is called a 'bagan' here in Indonesia. There are many different types and sizes of bagans, including formidable static structures that litter the Indonesian coastline. When we arrived at Ijuk on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia, Jamie made friends with one of the fishing teams on a platform close to us and began his photo documentary of the whole fishing process. It was his most challenging photography project to date. đSUPPORT US on PATREON, FTBMates or the Rum Fund - https://followtheboat.com/pub/ đJOIN OUR FOLLOWERS ON DISCORD (It's free!) - https://discord.gg/WGtsJubdkE If you enjoyed this video, let us know with SUPER THANKS! âī¸ Thank you for watching!
