Imagine you could go to a place on earth that sort of looks like Mars. But then black. And with foggy clouds. And air that you can breath. Oh and it’s cold. But still, it kinda looks like Mars! Mount Aetna is a very very awesome place, one of the most active volcanos in the world. It is surreal, mystic, mesmerizing and VERY COLD AT THE SUMMIT. Since we are stuck in Catania, waiting for our new dinghy to arrive, we decide to make the best of land life. We have a hot and sweaty day in Siracusa visiting an Ancient Greek Theatre, to make up for Alex missing Greece. And when our friend Julian joins us, we hike up to the 3330m high summit on Mount Aetna. An experience we will never forget and would love to have again!
