EPISODE 46 - Our first Spinnaker Parasailor try

Hi everyone and welcome to our Sailing Trip Family channel. After so many episodes without any sailing video, we decided to show you our first spinnaker try, called Parasailor. It’s a new concept of spinnaker. This sail is really light and and it’s done for low wind, and for down wind. What does that mean? I know some of our followers are not sailors so I’m going to try to explain to you with my poor English. A sailing boat has two sails, one main sail and a front sail called a Genois and we use this sails from 12 knots to 50 knots but in case of wind under than 12 knots we need a light front sail. There is the Gennaker which is good for up-wind until a side wind, then there is another light sail for down wind from 180° to 160°. Hope you are still following me ;-)… But few years a go they made a new concept of light sail called Parasailor. It’s a kind of Spinnaker but with some of the kite and Paranpente particularities. This new concept allows sailing with a 4 knots wind until 20 knots and from 180° to 110°. I’m not sure everyone will understand my explanations but feel free to contact me if you want more details.
