In this video we return to the boat and open up the starboard cabinetry to reveal...our starboard chainplates! The chainplates hold up the mast so they are super important! Water intrusion can weaken them as the metal plates are bolted into wood...if the wood gets wet, the chain plates can fail resulting in damage to the boat and injury to the crew.
