Ep 340 | Enchanting STILT Village, Hoga, Wakatobi, Sailing Nutshell, Indonesia

We leave Wangi-Wangi and sail south to Hoga, one of the four islands in the Wakatobi group. The name Wakatobi is a portmanteau of the four main Tukangbesi islands: Wangi-Wangi, Keledupa, tomia and Binongko. There are FADs to watch out for everywhere! We arrive at Hoga and take Peanut on a long excursion to check the place out. We find an abandoned dive resort. There are ramshackle cabins everywhere! Apparently, it was abandoned due to COVID but is soon to be rebuilt and opened again. At the anchorage ladies sell fruit and fish every day from their boats. We explore the local markets and check out the amazing village on stilts which is built over the coral reef, in very shallow water.
